WEST VALLEY — The West Valley Central School District is offering a range of classes through its winter Community Education Program.
The program features a variety of courses designed to engage participants in learning new skills and exploring creative interests. Classes will be held from February through May. Program Offerings Include:
● Crochet for Beginners – Instructor Andrea Proctor will teach basic crochet techniques, perfect for beginners looking to create their own handmade projects. Classes are held 6–7:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the multi-purpose conference room. Cost is $105 for seven sessions.
● Stained Glass for Beginners – In this class, led by Melissa Pearl, participants will learn the fundamentals of stained glass, including foiling, soldering and glass assembly. By the end of the course, participants will have crafted their own stained-glass projects to take home. Class times and costs are to be determined.
● Cornhole – Matt Birt and Alex Marino will provide instruction and play in this sport. Students 16 and older may attend with an adult participant. Sessions will be held 5–6 p.m. Tuesdays in the auditorium. Cost is $35 for six sessions.
● Rubber Stamp Card Making – In this class, Jody Enser will guide participants in creating handmade cards with unique designs each month, with all supplies included. Each class, participants will make eight cards – two of each of four different designs. Classes are held 5:30–8 p.m. once per month through May in the multi-purpose conference room. Cost is $60 for four sessions.
● Events by Jess – Florist Jessi Dash will lead a series of workshops focused on floral design, indoor plants and other topics. Each session is a make-and-take-home workshop. Sessions are held on various Wednesdays into April from 6–7:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose conference room. Cost is $30 per session, and all materials are included.
