JAMESTOWN — Ellicottville Central School defeated Warren Area High School 73-58 in a recent Media One High School Bowl match at Jamestown Community College.
In another match, Fredonia Central School topped Kane Area High School 135-21.
Jackson Kruszynski and Emma Lafferty of Ellicottville, Haley Brush and Conner Zaffino of Warren, and Ray Dai of Fredonia earned Player of the Match honors.
Ellicottville (5-1) was represented by Kruzynski, Lafferty, Skye Wood, Ryan Metzger and Siying Sun. Warren (2-2) team members were Brush, Zaffino, Macy Winicki, Grady Corey, Ben Scott, and Aaron Williams. This match eliminated Warren from this year’s competition.
Dai, Rebecca Lash, Ben Feit, Lacey Drennen, and Abby Lauer competed for Fredonia (5-1). The Kane (3-2) team included Brayden Byham, Kate Parana, Isaya Miller, Aaron Mishic, Anna Meyers, Corabeth Hamilton, Lilly Hultman, Andrea McCord and James Swedenhjelm. The match eliminated Kane from this year’s competition.
High School Bowl, in its 62nd year, is produced by Media One Group in cooperation with JCC. High School Bowl airs at 11 a.m. Saturdays on WJTN (1240 AM and 101.3 FM) and at 7 a.m. Sundays on SE-93 (93.3 FM).
