SALAMANCA — Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino is ready to rock with Cinderella’s Tom Keifer bringing an electrifying performance to the event center stage on Saturday, July 27 with special guests Winger and Lita Ford.
Tickets go on sale at noon Friday and start at $35.
Keifer helped define the glam rock sound of the 1980s and ’90s as the guitarist and dynamic frontman of the legendary heavyweight hard rock band Cinderella. Fueled by Keifer’s distinctive voice and masterful guitar style, Cinderella sold more than 15 million records worldwide and delivered such hits as “Shake Me,” “Nobody’s Fool,” “Don’t Know What You Got” and “Shelter Me.”
Over the past decade, Keifer transitioned his talents to a solo career, enjoying continued success recording and touring with #KeiferBand. Two critically acclaimed solo albums have been released to date, “The Way Life Goes” in 2013 and “Rise” in 2019.
Originally from Springfield, Pa., Keifer grew up surrounded by music. Drawing influence from the blues, he learned to play the electric guitar and became a member of the band Telepath.
Soon after Keifer and his good friend Eric Brittingham, a bassist, formed Cinderella, they got their big break when Jon Bon Jovi saw them play at Philadelphia’s Empire Rock Club and told his A&R rep about the group.
Keifer recently told Lovin’ Life that his tour harkens back to the ’80s — before click tracks and recorded vocals were a thing.
“It’s not a lot different than what you’re used to, seeing me perform with Cinderella,” he said. “There’s something about the spontaneity of live shows … I never get tired of that. I feel very fortunate to walk out onstage, sing songs and have a great relationship with the audience.”
Formed in 1987, Winger emerged as one of the foremost metal bands of the era, delivering memorable rock anthems and stirring power ballads that resonated with audiences worldwide, including “Seventeen,” “Headed for a Heartbreak” and “Miles Away.”
The band currently consists of original members Kip Winger, Reb Beach, Paul Tayor and Rod Morgenstein as well as John Roth, who joined in 2001. Frontman Kip Winger has played with everyone from Alice Cooper to Twisted Sister and Bob Dylan as well as composed some classical pieces.
“I’m not one of those guys that live for this,” Winger told Metal Edge Magazine. “I do the band because I really like the guys, and I think we have our place in history. But it doesn’t define me at all. Winger is a very small part of what defines me personally and musically.”
Lita Ford, a former member of the groundbreaking girl group The Runaways, became a legendary figure in the male-dominated heavy metal hair band era with unforgettable hits like “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever,” showcasing her unparalleled skill, infectious energy, and undeniable attitude.
Born in London, Ford immigrated to the U.S. in the 1960s, eventually settling in California. After her time with the Runaways and a solo career in the ’80s, she turned her attention toward raising her children in the mid-1990s before returning to the stage in 2008.
