LITTLE VALLEY — A Salamanca resident pleaded guilty in Cattaraugus County Court to petit larceny involving the theft of weapons in 2019.
The plea before County Court Judge Ronald D. Ploetz on Sept. 25 satisfies a pending indictment.
Cheyenne Armstrong, 42, had been indicted on charges of grand larceny involving firearms, third-degree criminal sale of a firearm and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property-firearms.
District Attorney Lori Pettit Rieman said the incidents occurred on Nov. 26, 2019 and Dec. 5, 2019 in the city of Salamanca, where the defendant stole firearms.
Armstrong faces sentencing on Nov. 27.
In another case, Dominic Mainella, 57, who is currently incarcerated in Wyoming County Jail, pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary to satisfy a pending indictment.
The incident occurred on Nov. 29, 2021, in the town of Salamanca, when the defendant knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a dwelling with intent to commit a crime therein. Sentencing is set for Nov. 27.
A Buffalo man, James Kenner, 20, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, fifth-degree conspiracy, unlawful fleeing, first-degree reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
Rieman said the incident occurred Nov. 9, 2022 in the town of Yorkshire, when the defendant entered or remained in a building, with intent to commit a crime therein, stole property, and recklessly engaged in conduct, which created grave risk of death to another person. The case was adjourned for motions.
