The 40-member community concert choir, directed by Annette Ieda, is once again gearing up to present a sensational program of narration and songs of the Christmas season.
This year’s Cantata is “The Christmas Story” by Tom Fettke and Thomas Grass. The entire production, along with a few extra musical selections, will be about 45 minutes long.
The first performance will be Sunday, Dec. 16 at the United Methodist Church on Broad Street in Salamanca at 3 p.m. The second performance will be later that night at 7 at the Holy Name of Mary Church on Jefferson Street in Ellicottville.
A collection will be taken at both concerts to offset the cost of the music and contribute to the community food pantries.
The annual Cantata concert is a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season with an emphasis on the Christmas Story of the Birth of Christ.
