RED HOUSE — Nearly 150 attended the annual Allegany State Park employee appreciation breakfast Tuesday at Camp Allegany.

Allegany Region Director Jay Bailey praised the employees, telling them the Allegany Region draws more visitors than Letchworth or Thousand Islands State Park.

Communication is the key to Allegany State Park’s continued success, Bailey told the employees, adding, “Management supports you.”

Members of the Allegany Region Commission also attended the awards ceremony.

Two 30-year park employees, John Dry and John Melcher, were honored. They received a clock in recognition of their length of service.
