SALAMANCA — A Cuba man faces multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed chase.
Michael L. Card, 34, of Cuba, was charged with unlawful fleeing from a police officer by motor vehicle, second-degree attempted assault, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana, reckless driving and numerous traffic violations.
According to the Salamanca Police Department, Card at about 1:45 a.m. Feb. 3 led authorities on a high-speed chase through three townships and attempted to ram into two Salamanca patrol vehicles with his vehicle.
Card was finally stopped at the New York-Pennsylvania border and taken into custody, police stated. No injuries or property damage occurred during this pursuit.
